Nikon for Sports Niche?

I saw a post about how many pro photographers at the Olympics would rely on Nikon cameras. It makes me wonder if Nikon is best if you're in the sports niche. Or is that too much to assume? Others say the brand of the camera doesn't matter, but I think it will since the features change.

It's true that Nikon was involved in the Olympics. I'm not sure how it was chosen, but I bet they submitted the best bid or something. Either way, I still prefer the GoPro for recording action shots.

It's hard to say if it will be the best for sports photography because it's also possible that others are just following the majority. A better aspect to look at would be your comfortability in using it.
