Intuitive focus is vital when capturing a product because consumers zoom in when viewing them. Any blur in the picture will result in a poor shot, and the client will most likely reject it. Do you have a camera model in mind that does a great job focusing on subjects?
Don't social media influencers just use their smartphones to snap product pics? They seem to turn out glossy images with those phones alone. I think it's all about lighting and styling the background.
If you're on a budget, the Canon G10 point-and-shoot will do a decent job. I use that camera on my real estate jobs sometimes. Buyers are always impressed with the images. You'll need a good tripod, too.
